Emerilware Cast Iron 12 Inch Skillet $24.95

This is one of my favorite pans to cook with because it is naturally nonstick without relying on toxic teflon. It comes already pre-seasoned. I use it often to brown chicken for my herb baked chicken recipe. This inexpensive cast iron pan is heavy duty and indispensible. It can go directly from the stove to the oven. Le Creuset makes nice colored cast iron pans but they are quite pricey. This affordable, no frills Emerilware cast iron skillet is all anyone really needs. Take care of it by washing it with a sponge in water only, using no soap, while the pan is still hot. This makes it easier to clean. Then dry in the oven at 200 degrees or heat up on the stove. Do not let this pan air dry or it will rust.
