I was so excited to be a part of the first ever Foodbuzz Blogger Festival over the past weekend! This is one of the perks of being a food blogger, trying new foods and connecting with other food bloggers. Friday, November 6 was the first day of the blogger festival. Upon registration, I received a hefty, and I mean “hefty”, gift bag full of full size products.
- Arcosteel Capuccino Frother
- Breville Espresso Beans
- Knork (a fork that cuts like a knife)
- Notes on Cooking book
- Made in Napa Valley tin with balsamic vinegar with pear, grilling glaze apple chiptole, spicy apple mustard sauce with ginger and cinnamon, herb rub meritage with sea salt
- Giant spatulas and a $25 giftcard to Chef’s catalog
It felt like Christmas came early. This was the best gift bag I have ever received. Thanks, Foodbuzz!
To kick off the Foodbuzz Blogger Festival, there was a cocktail hour at the Hotel Vitale 8th floor terrace, filled with yummy appetizers by Chef Eddie Blyden of Henry’s at the Hotel Durant and Michelle Mah of Midi in the Galleria Park Hotel. The panoramic view on the terrace was amazing. You could see the Bay Bridge and well lit Ferry Building. At the bar, there were some specialty cocktails. I bypassed those drinks and asked for a nonalcoholic drink. What the bartender gave me was a really delicious, slightly fruity but not too sweet, sparkling juice by Twelve Beverage. I was pleasantly surprised that there was such a cool beverage for us nonalcoholic drinkers.
Next, we headed over to the Ferry Building where we were treated to a street food fare. 4505 Meats provided perfectly seasoned Chichharones (fried pork skins). Everyone was addicted to this! The Pie Truck had the yummiest mini pies ever! Mission Minis featured a three tiered assortment of mini delicious cupcakes.
The Roli Roti truck was crowded with food bloggers lining up for their famous porchetta sandwiches. Straus Family Creamery had samples of their organic coffee and vanilla bean ice cream. They are my absolutely favorite ice cream brand and my favorite brand of eggnog. Pizza Politana had really good Neopolitan wood-fired pizzas. Spencer on the Go provided a delightful beet salad.
Here I am with fellow food bloggers – Joanne of Taking Over the World One Bite at a Time, Elaine of Virgo Blue, and Elizabeth of Ms. Lin Guide.
