I first tried Ethiopian blend coffee from Starbucks and fell in love with it… Fast forward 5 years, while ordering a bagel and cream cheese at Andersen’s Bakery in the Crocker Galleria in San Francisco’s Financial District, I decide to grab a regular coffee from them. I don’t expect much from regular coffee because it is usually bitter and boring. On second thought, any coffee that is not a mocha is usually blah to me. Hence, Starbucks has capitalized on this way of thinking. Anyway, after adding half and half to my coffee, I had a sip. Oh my gosh! I sipped again. Holy cow! All I could think to myself was, “is this really just regular coffee?” It’s sooooo yummy! The coffee at Andersen’s is so dark, rich, creamy, and smooth – no trace of bitterness at all. This is what a good cup of coffee is all about! I am now unbrainwashed about coffee. Andersen’s Bakery at Crocker Galleria in San Francisco uses Peerless Ethiopian blend, dark roast coffee. And… it’s only $1.50 for a medium size. I love discovering good things in unexpected places!
