About

Hi there! My name is Fanny, food writer at YummySF.com. This food blog started in January 2007, after my first trip to the Winter Fancy Food Show. YummySF was a way to share my discoveries of healthy, unique, and delicious natural food products as well as favorite recipes and restaurants.
In San Francisco, you can find a rich culture of restaurants that cater to vegans and raw foodists as well as almost any ethnic food you can imagine. That’s one of the reasons why San Francisco is a top destination for tourists from around the world.
Whether you live in the San Francisco Bay Area or you want to visit our beautiful city, check out YummySF for my latest food adventures. I enjoy trying healthy foods that taste good, so only my favorites make it to this blog.
I grew up with both the Chinese and American culture. YummySF reflects both these cultures through my experience with food.
Because of my Chinese heritage, I enjoy cooking a lot of Asian foods and eating at Asian restaurants. I plan to add more Asian recipes. For Chinese dishes, I’ll try to include the name in Chinese characters. All of the years I spent studying Chinese have now come to fruition.
If you want to get started with some of my favorite recipes, try my miso soup recipe, sushi bake recipe, herb baked chicken recipe, and low sugar chocolate chip cookie recipe. Thank you for reading and happy eating!
